Lead Software Engineer

Primary Role

Our ideal candidate is well versed in building mobile applications (hybrid or native). You will be a key member of the team, providing technical leadership to create an amazing mobile app experience for users. Your focus will be on building the server-side logic and managing integration with the stack. You enjoy rapid prototyping and collaboration with all disciplines to drive productivity within a team.

What will you do

    • Build mobile applications using the most suitable software development tools and methods
    • Lead the team to conceptualize, engineer and document applications across multiple projects
    • Ensure the team adheres to a consistent high standard of code and robust practices
    • Work with the technical director to drive selection of technology for all projects
    • Promote code maintenance and reusability
    • Design detailed workflows and prioritize tasks for sprint cycles
    • Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize for scalability

 

What you need

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
    • 5+ years of experience in Full Stack Development
    • Hands-on experience in Javascript, Ruby, Java
    • Strong Object Oriented Programming skills
    • Service-oriented attitude with a keen eye for efficiency and workflow
    • Strong understanding of web technologies and services
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Good to have

    • Familiarity with the Fintech industry and emerging technologies
    • Experience across a span of technologies (cloud services, network protocols, UI frameworks, database technologies)
    • Previous startup experience

 

 


 

Junior Graphic Designer

Primary Role

We are looking for a Junior Designer to create engaging designs according to requirements. You will work under the supervision of a Senior Designer to produce quality work.

A Junior Graphic Designer will lay out pages, draw logos, rework text, perform color corrections and overall take on the basic duties that help them get to know the ins and outs of graphic design. A junior designer will often work on multiple aspects of one project but will take on only one or two tasks at a time.

Your goal will be to create impactful designs that capture and sell our company vision.

 

What will you do

    • Cultivate a solid body of work
    • Assist the senior graphic designer in creating branding, sales and marketing collateral
    • Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
    • Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts
    • Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas
    • Amend final designs to clients comments and gain full approval
    • Work as part of a team with copywriters, designers, stylists, executives etc.
    • Listening to feedback to hone skills and improve design

 

What you need

    • Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
    • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
    • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
    • Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc)
    • Up to date knowledge of the latest design trends
    • Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines

 

Good to have

    • A great attitude
    • A drive to learn and challenge the status quo
    • An understanding and familiarity with UX design would be a bonus
