STI Shoots Up Ahead Of Fed, moves 0.14% to 3187.46

After the awaited rate decision from Federal Reserve by investors and late gains in the US markets, Singapore shares edge higher on Wednesday. The STI gained 4.46 points ie. 0.14% and moved to 3187.46.

In the article released by The Business Times The average unit price of the share was 1.57 with 34 million shares worth $53.4 million changing their hands. 

Companies that gained: 

  • Mapletree Industrial Trust up 3.4% to $2.41
  • Keppel DC Reit up 1.6% to $1.96
  • UOB up 0.04% to $26.26

Companies that lost: 

  • DBS down 0.5% to $25.17
  • OCBC down 0.2% to $11.01

 

The most actively traded security was Rex International, which was down S$0.004 or 4.3 per cent to S$0.089 after 7.1 million shares changed hands.
