Don’t Break The Bank: Gift Guide

Gift-giving can be a painstaking process. It can take forever to find the perfect present, and then you check the price tag. Sometimes you have to start all over.

The best gifts are often way out of the price range. But, celebrating the ones you love doesn’t always have to break the bank! We’ve compiled some cheap (and free!) gift ideas.

Gifts That Keep On Giving

For the green thumb in your life, a plant can be the most meaningful gift. Try and find a plant that they don’t have that offers a specific use. Like an herb garden that can be cooked with or a succulent with healing properties.

Every time they use their plant, they’ll think of you! To add a special touch personalize the potter with a little paint or a sweet message.

A little inspiration:

  • Rosemary Plant
  • Aloe Vera
  • Basil Plant
  • Chamomile Flower

One Of A Kind Gifts

The most special people in your life deserve something as special as them. So instead of some bland store-bought present, make them something!

Try and pull their personality into the gift. And if you aren’t artistically inclined, don’t fear. Homemade gifts can vary so widely that there is truly no limit.

A little inspiration:

  • Bath and spa supplies (i.e. soap, body butter, scrubs)
  • A collage or photo album
  • A playlist or mixtape of songs that remind you of them
  • Write them a story

Gifts Made With Love

If you know a foodie then you know the way to their heart is through their stomach. Take advantage of that with a delicious, edible gift!

If you’re not a great cook or baker, don’t be dissuaded. Give them something they can use in their cooking instead.

A little inspiration:

  • Jam or preserves
  • Cocktail or drink mix
  • A handmade recipe book
  • Infused oil or extracts

The Gift Of Time

Presents don’t always have to be a physical good. Sometimes it means more to give the gift of time.

Think about what the recipient needs in the moment. This is a truly unique way to show your loved one that you’re paying attention.

A little inspiration:

  • A free night of babysitting
  • A mani-pedi at home
  • Yard work or cleaning
  • Teaching a skill
