Don’t Break The Bank: Staycations

We’re all in need of a vacay right about now. Unfortunately you can’t go to a lot of the best spots right now. Plus, a good vacation can cost a lot. That’s where staycations come into play.

You can have just as much fun and relaxation time from your own home. All it takes is a little creativity! We’ve collected three great staycation ideas so you can destress without paying a fortune.

Spa Weekend

Nothing soothes the soul like a trip to the spa. Unfortunately a full spa weekend can get super expensive. Luckily you can do it from home! Grab a couple face masks (or make them yourself), some mani pedi supplies, and some scentented candles, and you’re ready to go!

Take your spa weekend to the next level by giving your S.O. a massage and vice versa. Top off the evening with a nice bottle of wine and a bath. Viola, you have the perfect spa weekend at a fraction of the price!

Tech Free

Power down for the weekend and get back to the basics. You’ll be surprised how much you can learn about yourself and your family by putting your phones down. You can take it a step further by cutting out TV and other tech devices.

Without Netflix, YouTube, and social media, you’ll be ‘forced’ to spend quality time together. Playing board games, reading books, and cooking together is sure to bring you closer. The best part? This staycation doesn’t require any extra costs!

Yoga Retreat

Find inner peace with a weekend full of mindfulness. While yoga retreats are supposed to be all about relaxation, sometimes the price tag can leave you feeling stressed. Skip this with  a DIY retreat from home.

All you need is a yoga mat, a few YouTube videos, and a positive mindset. You can make it even better with a little morning meditation outside and an afternoon smoothie! A yoga staycation is a sure fire way to unwind and unleash your inner yogi.
