WealthUp (WU): Before we get to the good stuff, what’s the usual range of capital that investors would need to put?
Mark Blackwell (MB): Typically investors need between £100-200k to invest in an LTI; but some of the properties do reach up to 500k – particularly the London properties.
WU: Which region of investors would benefit most from LTI, or where is the majority of your investors from?
MB: Anyone can benefit from buying an asset half-price. However, we’ve found that overseas/ distant landlords (who are frustrated by being at the mercy of their tenants and letting agents) are the ones who tend to see the most benefits for a property with a life tenancy.
The majority of our investors are domestic in the UK. For overseas, our hotspots are Singapore, Hong Kong and the UAE.
